Welcome to SkyeWorks

Let’s figure this out together.

SkyeWorks started because I kept getting lost.

In tech articles.

In best-practice books.

In conversations where everyone seems to be an expert with 20 years of experience in a field that has only become mainstream in less than 5 years.

I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

Not another vendor marketing piece. Not a textbook. Not heavy codes.

So here I am, writing about what I want to learn and read.

At SkyeWorks, I write about technology - cloud, AI, infrastructure, the stuff that holds everything together and make things work.

I’m Skye. And this is me writing it down.

One thought at a time. One story at a time.

For someone else who’s been confused, made mistakes and learned the hard way.

What You’ll Find Here

One post a week—either a roundup or an original piece.

I publish when I have something worth sharing.

Some weeks it's a curated list of resources. Other weeks it's a story, a framework, or a lesson I've learned the hard way.

Curated Roundups

I collate the best 3–4 resources that actually help.

It could be a classic YouTube video explaining a concept so well, or an honest blog post covering the good, the bad, and the ugly of new tech.

And I'll tell you how it helped me think more deeply, work better, or be a bit more mindful of all the noise in the market.

Original Writing

My stories, my mistakes, my insights about a topic I'm curious about.

Sometimes that's a how-to guide.

Other times, it's an explainer piece sprinkled with real-world experience and quirky analogies to help the idea land.

You'll find stories about an ice cream factory for Martians, getting ramen in Tokyo, or what I noticed during my last trip to Vietnam.

What You Won’t Find Here

This isn’t a place for hot takes.

I’m not here to tell you AI will make all of your worries go away or trigger another World War.

I’m not here to pretend I am an expert and my words are expert-level advice.

I’m still figuring it out. And I don’t have all the answers.

But I’ve made enough mistakes to know what the questions are.

The Fine Print

A few things I should probably mention.

Disclaimer:

I write about technology for educational purposes. I’m not a lawyer, an accountant, or your professional advisor.

Verify everything with official sources.

AI Use:

I use AI to help with research, editing, and occasionally to play devil’s advocate and tell me how wonky and terrible my writing is.

The ideas, stories, and analogies are mine.

Last, but definitely not least. Thank you for being here. See you in the next post.
